From the supplier: Most food processors use mechanical palletizers to stack boxes, bags or pails onto pallets and slipsheets. This saves money on wages and also saves on workman's compensation benefits involving repetitive motion syndrome and lower-back injuries. Automatic palletizers range from vacuum grabbers, which still require a person to guide the controls, to robots, which are flexible and can handle a variety of tasks. The choice of which to purchase depends on the type, weight and number of packages that need to be stacked. Palletizer costs usually range from under $40,000 up to hundreds of thousands of dollars.
