Summary: Great WWII History Book
Comment: Massman had done produced an excellent book on a topic that generated few titles to date. This book is decently illustrated and is very readable. While pricey, it is well printed and bound. There is much information on the hospital ships themselves, and much relavent personal interest material included. I enjoyed this book, and would gladly recommend it to others with interest in this genre.

Summary: Gratifying History
Comment: Learning the history of these very heroic ships and their dedicated staff was quite an education. I was overwhelmed with excitement when I found the chapter on the USS Refuge as my father was Commander of this hospital ship and crew. Thank you MR. Massman for sharing your knowledge of this countries WW11 Hospital Ships and serviceman. It was truly gratifying for me to read about my Dad and I burst with proudness.Only wish I knew more.
